China Released and Implemented GB 45067-2024 Judgment Criteria for Major Potential Accidents of Special Equipment
On November 28, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation and Standardization Administration of China jointly released GB 45067-2024 Judgment Criteria for Major Potential Accidents of Special Equipment, officially implemented on December 1, 2024. The criteria clarify 12 categories of major potential accident judgment standards for elevators: 1. Failure or missing safety gears and speed governors; 2. Failure of door interlock devices, abnormal opening of landing/car doors; 3. Failure of traction machine brakes, elevator sliding; 4. Failure of emergency rescue devices, inability to self-rescue when trapped; 5. Excessive broken wires, severe deformation of steel wire ropes; 6. Failure of overload protection, operation exceeding rated load; 7. Short circuit, electric leakage, grounding failure of electrical system; 8. Failure of fire elevator function, inability to return to base station in fire; 9. Old elevators (over 15 years) unassessed, operating with defects; 10. Falsified maintenance records, overdue maintenance; 11. Missing remote monitoring device, no supervision data uploaded; 12. Failure of emergency rescue telephone, delayed rescue. The criteria require users to immediately rectify major potential hazards, suspend operation and pursue liability if unrectified, and regulatory authorities conduct full-coverage supervision, providing precise judgment basis for elevator safety governance.
