EU AI Act Entered into Force in 2025, Elevator AI Safety Components Listed as High-risk Supervision
On August 1, 2024, the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation EU 2024/2181) officially entered into force, building the world's strictest AI supervision system. The Act lists elevator AI safety components as high-risk AI systems, core supervision requirements:
1. Scope: Covering AI anti-fall braking, AI door anti-pinch, AI emergency rescue, AI fault prediction, AI group control safety systems;
2. Mandatory compliance: Manufacturers must conduct risk assessment, compliance testing, performance verification, issue AI compliance declaration, affix CE mark; 3. Data requirements: AI training data legal, accurate, unbiased, operation data encrypted storage, retained for 5 years;
4. Vulnerability management: Report security vulnerabilities within 24 hours, release patches within 72 hours, establish AI security audit mechanism;
5. Implementation schedule: Applicable to elevator AI clauses from February 2, 2025; Fully mandatory from August 2, 2026; Stock transformation completed by December 2027;
6. Violation penalties: Maximum fine of 6% of global turnover, product recall, marketing ban. The Act reshapes elevator AI safety compliance system, promoting smart elevator safety upgrade.
