Mandatory National Standard GB 21240-2025 Safety Code for the Construction and Installation of Hydraulic Lifts Officially Released
This standard is formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization of China. It is applicable to hydraulic driven lifts with rated speed no more than 1m/s and rated load no more than 5000kg, covering the whole life cycle safety management of design, manufacturing, installation, inspection and acceptance of hydraulic lifts. Compared with the old version, the core upgrades of this revision include: first, adding mandatory requirements for the unintended car movement protection device of hydraulic lifts, clarifying the trigger conditions, braking performance and test standards of unintended movement protection, and filling the safety gap of the old version; second, comprehensively upgrading the safety specifications of the hydraulic system, refining the technical indicators of pressure resistance grade, sealing performance and fatigue strength of core components such as hydraulic pump stations, oil cylinders, pipelines and valves, and mandating that the hydraulic system must be equipped with triple safety protection of explosion-proof valve, rupture valve and overload protection device; third, adding energy saving and environmental protection technical requirements, clarifying the classification standard of energy efficiency grade of hydraulic system, restricting the use of highly polluted and non-degradable hydraulic oil, and encouraging the use of environment-friendly biodegradable hydraulic oil and energy-saving hydraulic drive system; fourth, refining the installation and acceptance specifications, clarifying the special technical requirements for waterproof, anti-corrosion and temperature control of hydraulic lift shafts for special scenarios such as underground installation, outdoor installation and heavy load conditions, and improving the inspection items and acceptance standards for on-site installation; fifth, improving the specifications for the transformation and safety assessment of old hydraulic lifts, and clarifying the technical requirements and inspection standards for the replacement of core components and system upgrading of in-service hydraulic lifts. The implementation of this standard comprehensively standardizes the production and installation order of China's hydraulic lift market, promotes the full integration of hydraulic lift technology with the international market, and also provides standardized technical support for the global export of Chinese hydraulic lift products, adapting to the procurement demand of hydraulic lifts in low-rise buildings, industrial plants, villas and other scenarios around the world.
