ISO/TR 8101-11:2025 totals 56 pages and applies to all new and retrofit elevator projects. The report includes:

1) Analysis of usage needs of different types of persons with disabilities;

2) Basic principles and methods of accessible elevator design;

3) Accessible design requirements for various parts of elevators, including cars, landing doors, buttons, signs, etc.;

4) Installation and acceptance requirements for accessible elevators;

5) Usage and maintenance requirements for accessible elevators;

6) A large number of design cases and best practices.


The publication of this report will help designers and manufacturers better understand and apply ISO 8100-7:2024 and create a more inclusive vertical transportation environment.
