ISO/TS 8100-10:2025 defines the classification, attributes and relationships of elevator BIM objects, including major components such as elevator shafts, cars, door systems, drive systems and control systems. The standard requires elevator manufacturers to provide BIM models compliant with the IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) standard for seamless data exchange with other disciplines such as architectural design, structural engineering and MEP engineering. This will significantly reduce design errors, improve construction efficiency and provide data support for building lifecycle management.
