Core upgrades:

① Energy efficiency levels: adjusted from 4 levels to 5 levels (level 1 optimal), level 1 energy efficiency energy consumption 40% lower than old version level 3;

② Mandatory technologies: 100% of new elevators equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motors (efficiency ≥96%), energy feedback (25–40% power saving), LED lighting (70% power saving), unmanned automatic sleep;

③ Energy consumption calculation: unified testing methods for annual energy consumption, standby energy consumption, operation energy consumption, data traceable and comparable;

④ Old elevator transformation: clarifies energy-saving transformation technical paths, acceptance standards, only those with energy efficiency improvement ≥30% after transformation can enjoy subsidies.


After implementation, average energy consumption of new Chinese elevators reduced by 35%, saving 12 billion kWh annually, reducing CO₂ emissions by 9.6 million tons, providing Chinese solutions for global elevator energy saving.
