This standard is jointly formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization and the National Technical Committee for Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment Standardization of China. It is applicable to traction-driven, positive-driven and hydraulic-driven explosion-proof lifts used in explosive hazardous places such as coal mine gas environment, chemical explosive gas environment and combustible dust environment, covering the whole life cycle safety management of explosion-proof lifts. The core contents of the standard include: first, clarifying the explosion-proof grade classification and applicable scenarios of explosion-proof lifts. According to the hazard level and medium type of the explosive atmosphere, explosion-proof lifts are divided into three categories: Class I, Class II and Class III, corresponding to three application scenarios: underground coal mine, chemical gas and dust environment, and clarifying the core technical requirements of different types of explosion-proof lifts; second, refining the explosion-proof design specifications of core components. For all live parts such as elevator drive main engines, control systems, electrical devices, door systems and lighting systems, it clarifies the design, manufacturing and inspection standards of explosion-proof types such as flameproof type, increased safety type and intrinsic safety type, and stipulates that explosion-proof components must obtain the type test certificate issued by the national explosion-proof electrical product quality inspection institution; third, adding the overall explosion-proof safety requirements of the lift, clarifying the special technical requirements for elevator shaft ventilation, electrostatic protection, mechanical spark prevention and control, and temperature control, to prevent the spark and high temperature generated during the operation of the lift from igniting explosive media; fourth, standardizing the installation and acceptance requirements of explosion-proof lifts, clarifying the construction safety specifications, explosion-proof surface protection requirements, grounding and anti-static measures for elevator installation in explosive atmospheres, and formulating the on-site inspection and acceptance standards for the overall explosion-proof performance of the lift; fifth, improving the operation and maintenance specifications of explosion-proof lifts, clarifying the safety requirements for daily inspection, regular maintenance and component replacement of explosion-proof lifts, and it is strictly prohibited to change the explosion-proof structure or replace explosion-proof components without authorization. The implementation of this standard comprehensively standardizes the production and installation market of explosion-proof lifts in China, promotes the full integration of China's special elevator technology with the international market, and also provides standardized technical support for the global export of Chinese explosion-proof lift products, adapting to the procurement demand of explosion-proof lifts in global mining, chemical, oil and gas industries.
