This standard is jointly formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Fire Protection Standardization and the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization of China. It is applicable to the determination of the fire resistance performance of elevator landing doors (including glass landing doors and metal landing doors), covering the whole process of fire resistance design, production, inspection and certification of elevator landing doors. Compared with the old version, the core upgrades of this revision include: first, reconstructing the fire resistance performance grading system, dividing the fire resistance performance of elevator landing doors into four grades: EI 30, EI 60, EI 90 and EI 120 according to the fire resistance time, clarifying the applicable building types of different fire resistance grades, among which EI 120 grade is applicable to super high-rise buildings and large transportation hubs, and is fully connected with the mandatory requirements of the General Code for Fire Protection of Buildings; second, refining the fire resistance test method and test process, clarifying the unified standards of test furnace temperature curve, test environment, sample installation and measuring point layout, formulating a complete test operation process and data collection specification according to the structural characteristics of elevator landing doors, to ensure the accuracy and comparability of test results; third, improving the judgment standard of fire resistance performance, clarifying the judgment criteria of the three core indicators of fire resistance integrity, thermal insulation and heat flux of elevator landing doors, refining the limit requirements of flame penetration, back fire surface temperature rise and radiant heat flux, and adding the performance maintenance requirements of door lock devices and door interlock devices during the test; fourth, adding special test specifications for glass elevator landing doors, formulating special sample installation, test process and judgment standards for elevator landing doors with glass panels, clarifying the fire resistance performance test requirements of fireproof glass landing doors, and filling the standard gap of fire resistance test for glass landing doors; fifth, standardizing the test equipment and calibration requirements, clarifying the technical requirements and calibration specifications of the fire resistance test furnace, thermocouple, radiation pyrometer and data acquisition system, to ensure the accuracy and stability of the test equipment; sixth, improving the test report and identification specifications, clarifying the content, format and data requirements of the fire resistance test report, formulating the marking rules for the fire resistance performance identification of elevator landing doors, which is convenient for product certification and engineering application. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively standardized the test and evaluation system for the fire resistance performance of elevator landing doors in China, built a solid defense line for the prevention and control of fire spread in elevator shafts from the level of building fire protection, and also promoted the full integration of China's fireproof elevator landing door products with the international market, providing standardized technical support for the global export of China's fireproof elevator products.
