This standard is under the jurisdiction of the China Elevator Association, and is jointly compiled by the Chinese Academy of Building Research and domestic elevator installation engineering enterprises. It is applicable to the design, construction, installation, acceptance and operation and maintenance management of elevator installation projects in existing urban residential buildings nationwide. The core contents of the standard include: first, establishing the overall design principles of elevator installation engineering, clarifying the core design principles of "safety first, adaptation to local conditions, economy and applicability, barrier-free friendliness, and less disturbance to residents", and formulating graded design schemes and selection specifications for different building structure types, site conditions and floor heights; second, refining the design specifications for shaft structure and building adaptation, formulating special technical requirements for structural design, foundation, and connection with existing buildings for steel structure shafts and concrete structure shafts for elevator installation in existing residential buildings, clarifying the seismic, wind resistance, fire protection, thermal insulation and sound insulation design standards of the shaft structure, and strictly prohibiting damage to the main structure and load-bearing components of existing buildings; third, improving the elevator selection and adaptation requirements, clarifying the minimum requirements for rated load, rated speed, car size and leveling accuracy of the installed elevators, mandating that the installed elevators must be equipped with barrier-free and aging-friendly configurations, including low-level control panels, three-sided handrails, voice announcement, and one-key direct connection function of emergency calls; in view of the characteristics of inconsistent floor heights and limited shaft space of old residential buildings, special selection specifications for machine room-less, machine room-less and home lift installation are formulated; fourth, standardizing the construction and installation safety requirements, formulating special specifications for on-site construction, equipment installation and safety protection of elevator installation projects, clarifying the noise control, dust control and resident travel guarantee requirements during the construction process, and formulating special safety construction schemes for the characteristics of narrow construction sites and complex surrounding environment of old residential areas; fifth, clarifying the inspection and acceptance standards, formulating the special items and qualification judgment criteria for structural acceptance, equipment installation acceptance, complete machine performance test and supervision inspection of elevator installation projects, clarifying that the installed elevators must obtain the special equipment use registration certificate before being put into use; sixth, refining the operation and maintenance and long-term management specifications, clarifying the use management subject, maintenance responsibility and regular inspection requirements of the installed elevators, encouraging the adoption of the "elevator + maintenance" integrated service mode and shared elevator operation mode, and formulating special requirements for daily inspection, regular maintenance and emergency rescue of the installed elevators to ensure the long-term safe and stable operation of the elevators. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively standardized the design, construction and management of elevator installation projects in existing residential buildings in China, helped the transformation of old urban residential areas and the construction of barrier-free cities nationwide, and also promoted the standardized development of China's elevator installation technology, products and services, providing Chinese standards and Chinese solutions for the global elevator installation market in old buildings.
