This standard is applicable to traction machines matched with traction-driven elevators with rated speed no more than 25m/s, covering the whole life cycle management of traction machine design, production, inspection, installation and use. Compared with the old version, the core upgrades of this revision include: first, reconstructing the traction machine classification system, dividing traction machines into two categories: permanent magnet synchronous gearless type and asynchronous geared type according to the driving mode, structural form and applicable scenarios, adding special technical requirements for traction machines dedicated to ultra-high speed elevators and small traction machines dedicated to home lifts, and clarifying the applicable speed range and load requirements of different types of traction machines; second, greatly improving the core safety performance indicators, tightening the allowable deviation of the output torque and speed of the traction machine from the original ±5% to ±3%; clarifying the mechanical strength and fatigue life requirements of core components such as traction sheave, brake and main shaft, stipulating that the performance of the traction machine must still meet the standard requirements after passing 2 million times of alternating load fatigue tests; third, refining the safety redundancy design specifications of the brake, mandating that the traction machine must be equipped with two independent braking elements. When one group of braking elements fails, the other group can still ensure the reliable braking of the traction machine, and adding technical requirements for brake action times monitoring and wear early warning; fourth, improving the energy efficiency grade and energy saving requirements, formulating the energy efficiency grade classification standard and test method of traction machines, dividing the energy efficiency of traction machines into grades 1-5, clarifying the efficiency limits of different energy efficiency grades, and encouraging the R&D of high-efficiency and energy-saving permanent magnet synchronous traction machine technology; fifth, improving the type test and factory inspection rules, adding special test methods and judgment standards for high and low temperature environment performance test, noise and vibration test, electromagnetic compatibility test and salt spray corrosion test of the traction machine, and clarifying the items, procedures and validity period of the type test; sixth, clarifying the service life and maintenance specifications of the traction machine, refining the replacement cycle and scrapping standards of wearing parts such as bearings, brakes and seals of the traction machine, clarifying that the recommended service life of the traction machine shall not exceed 15 years, and formulating the items and inspection standards for regular maintenance. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively improved the product quality and technical level of elevator traction machines in China, guaranteed the safety and stability of elevator operation from the level of core drive components, and also promoted the full integration of China's elevator traction machine products with the international market. China is the world's largest producer and exporter of elevator traction machines, with a global market share of more than 70%. The implementation of this standard will further consolidate the core competitiveness of China's elevator core drive components in the global market.
