Mandatory National Standard GB 7588.2-2025 Safety Rules for the Construction and Installation of Lifts Part 2: Elevator Door Locking Devices Officially Released
This standard is formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization of China. It is applicable to door locking devices matched with traction and positive drive lifts and hydraulic lifts with rated speed no more than 25m/s, covering the whole life cycle management of door locking device design, production, inspection, installation, use and scrapping. The core contents of the standard include: first, clarifying the core safety requirements of door locking devices, mandating that the meshing depth of the door locking device must be no less than 7mm, the electrical safety contact must be closed before the completion of the mechanical locking action, and must be equipped with double contact redundant design, to eliminate safety accidents such as elevator running with door open and falling caused by door lock failure; second, refining the mechanical performance and durability requirements, clarifying the mechanical strength, impact load and wear resistance indicators of the door locking device, stipulating that the door locking device must still meet the standard requirements for mechanical and electrical performance after 1 million opening and closing cycle tests, greatly improving the service life and reliability of the door locking device; third, improving the environmental adaptability requirements, formulating special test standards for corrosion resistance, high and low temperature resistance, waterproof and dustproof of door locking devices for extreme use environments such as high temperature, high humidity, salt spray and low temperature, and clarifying the special protection grade requirements of door locking devices for special scenes such as coastal areas, outdoor and cold storage; fourth, standardizing the electrical safety and explosion-proof requirements, clarifying the insulation performance, withstand voltage performance and short-circuit protection requirements of electrical safety contacts of door locking devices, and formulating special technical specifications for flameproof and intrinsic safety design for door locking devices used in explosion-proof elevators, forming a full connection with the national explosion-proof electrical equipment standards; fifth, improving the type test and factory inspection rules, clarifying the mandatory inspection items, test methods and judgment standards of the type test of door locking devices, tightening the sampling rules and qualification judgment criteria of factory inspection, mandating that each batch of door locking devices must pass the full project inspection before leaving the factory; sixth, clarifying the installation, use and scrapping specifications, refining the installation and commissioning, gap adjustment and daily maintenance requirements of door locking devices, updating the scrapping judgment standards for wear, deformation, electrical contact failure and abnormal mechanical locking function of door locking devices, and forming a full connection with the Elevator Maintenance Rules and Elevator Supervision Inspection and Regular Inspection Rules. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively built a solid safety line for the elevator door system, reduced the risk of safety accidents such as elevator running with door open and shearing from the level of core safety components, and also promoted the full integration of China's elevator door locking device products with the international market, further consolidating the core competitiveness of China's elevator core safety components in the global market.
