This standard is formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization of China. It is applicable to compensation devices matched with traction-driven elevators with rated speed no more than 10m/s, including compensation chains, compensation cables, compensation ropes and their tensioning devices, covering the whole life cycle management of compensation device design, production, inspection, installation and use. Compared with the old version, the core upgrades of this revision include: first, reconstructing the compensation device classification system, dividing compensation devices into three categories: compensation chain, compensation cable and compensation rope according to the structural form, applicable speed and compensation mode, adding special technical requirements for low-noise compensation cables dedicated to ultra-high speed elevators and compensation rope tensioning devices dedicated to high-floor elevators, and clarifying the applicable speed range and lifting height requirements of different types of compensation devices; second, greatly improving the core performance indicators, tightening the weight deviation per unit length of the compensation device from the original ±5% to ±3%; clarifying the tensile strength and fatigue resistance requirements of the compensation device, stipulating that the compensation rope and compensation cable must still meet the standard requirements after passing 2 million times of bending fatigue tests; third, refining the special specifications for low noise and high stability, formulating the vibration and noise reduction design requirements of the compensation device for high-speed elevator operation scenarios, clarifying the wear resistance, flame retardancy and anti-aging performance indicators of the outer coating material of the compensation chain and compensation cable, and eliminating the abnormal noise and jitter during high-speed operation; fourth, improving the safety specifications of the tensioning device, mandating that the elevator compensation device with rated speed greater than 2.5m/s must be equipped with a tensioning device and anti-jump and rope breakage protection switches, and clarifying the special technical requirements for structural strength, stroke design and safety protection of the tensioning device; fifth, improving the type test and factory inspection rules, adding special test methods and judgment standards for high and low temperature environment performance test, flame retardant performance test, salt spray corrosion test and fatigue life test of the compensation device, and clarifying the items, procedures and validity period of the type test; sixth, clarifying the installation and maintenance specifications, refining the installation and fixation of the compensation device, tension adjustment, safety spacing requirements with shaft components, formulating the cycle and project requirements for regular inspection and maintenance, and clarifying the recommended service life and scrapping standards of the compensation device. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively improved the product quality and technical level of elevator compensation devices in China, guaranteed the operation stability and low noise performance of high-speed and super high-rise elevators from the core component level, and also promoted the full integration of China's elevator compensation device products with the international market, further consolidating the core competitiveness of China's elevator core components in the global market.
