This standard is under the jurisdiction of the China Elevator Association, and is jointly compiled by the National Working Committee on Aging of China and the National Research Center for Rehabilitation Technical Aids. It is applicable to the aging-friendly transformation project of in-service elevators in existing residential buildings, and is not applicable to the design of new residential elevators. The core contents of the standard include: first, establishing the general principles of aging-friendly elevator transformation, clarifying the basic requirements and graded transformation schemes of the transformation project in accordance with the principles of "safety first, easy to use, intelligent and friendly, economical and applicable", which are divided into three transformation grades: basic type, upgraded type and full-function type, adapting to the transformation needs and budgets of different communities; second, refining the aging-friendly transformation specifications in the car, clarifying the special aging-friendly requirements for car handrails, emergency call devices, control panels, lighting and ventilation, mandating that the control panel must be equipped with large-font, high-contrast buttons and Braille signs, the button height is not higher than 1.2m, and the car must be equipped with three-sided handrails and a low-level emergency call device with a height of not less than 0.85m; third, improving the aging-friendly transformation requirements for landing stations and door systems, clarifying the aging-friendly standards for landing door call buttons, floor display and voice announcement, mandating the configuration of voice announcement and arrival bell functions, the call buttons must be equipped with large fonts and high-brightness display, and low-level call buttons must be equipped for wheelchair users; fourth, adding intelligent aging-friendly function specifications, formulating technical requirements for intelligent aging-friendly functions such as elevator face recognition call, non-sense passage, one-key call to children, automatic fault alarm and health monitoring in view of the travel needs of elderly users, and encouraging adaptation to smart elderly care scenarios in the transformation; fifth, standardizing the transformation construction and acceptance standards, clarifying the construction safety specifications, component installation and commissioning requirements, on-site acceptance items and judgment standards of elevator aging-friendly transformation, requiring that the transformed elevator must pass the inspection of a third-party institution, and can be put into use only after all indicators meet the standard requirements; sixth, refining the operation and maintenance management requirements after transformation, clarifying the cycle and project requirements for regular maintenance and function inspection of elevators after aging-friendly transformation, to ensure the long-term stable availability of aging-friendly functions. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively standardized the aging-friendly transformation market of residential elevators in China, promoted the elderly-friendly upgrading of old residential elevators, and also provided standardized technical support for the global export of China's elevator aging-friendly transformation technologies, products and solutions, adapting to the demand for aging-friendly elevator transformation in the global aging society.
