This new version of the standard is the core reference standard in the field of global elevator energy efficiency. The core revisions include: establishing a unified global elevator energy efficiency grading system, and refining the energy efficiency grading indicators of different types of elevators; updating the elevator energy consumption test method, and clarifying the test specifications for standby energy consumption, operating energy consumption and renewable energy feedback efficiency; adding energy efficiency test standards for intelligent elevators and high-speed elevators; clarifying the technical specifications and energy efficiency evaluation methods for elevator energy-saving renovation; adding the standard for carbon emission accounting of the whole life cycle of elevators, providing technical support for carbon neutrality of the global elevator industry. The standard will be officially implemented on July 1, 2025, and will promote the energy-saving and low-carbon upgrading of the global elevator industry.
