This new version of the standard is a major update of the core ISO elevator safety standard. The core revisions include: adding safety requirements for elevator intelligent control systems, clarifying the application specifications of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technology in elevator control systems; updating the technical requirements for elevator emergency rescue, adding relevant standards for remote emergency rescue and automatic leveling rescue; strengthening the technical requirements for elevator barrier-free design, and refining various parameter indicators of barrier-free elevators; updating the test and verification standards for core elevator safety components, and improving the requirements for elevator safety performance. The standard will be officially implemented on August 1, 2024, providing a core reference for the formulation of elevator safety standards in countries around the world.
