Core standard upgrades:

① Design methods: introduces modern design methods including finite element analysis, fatigue life calculation, risk assessment, replacing traditional empirical design; ② Safety factors: increases safety factors for key stressed components (e.g., wire ropes 8→10, brake arms 5→6), enhancing reliability;

③ Verification tests: adds special tests including 10 million fatigue tests, high-low temperature cycles, salt spray corrosion, vibration impact;

④ Material requirements: mandatory standards for core components high-strength steel, wear-resistant alloys, flame-retardant materials, clarifying material grades and mechanical properties;

⑤ Digital compatibility: supports equivalent safety evaluation for digital design, simulation verification, 3D printed components.

China has equivalently adopted and converted to GB/T 37668.2-2026, effective October 2026, promoting full alignment of Chinese elevator component design, manufacturing and testing with international standards.
