The International Lift & Escalator Expo India is the largest and most influential professional exhibition for the elevator industry in South Asia. It is held every two years and is the core channel for elevator procurement, technical exchange and agency cooperation in the Indian and South Asian markets. With the theme of "Innovation · Safety · Empowering South Asian Infrastructure", the 2026 exhibition is expected to break through 40,000 square meters of exhibition scale, and will attract more than 300 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions around the world, with more than 22,000 professional visitors, more than 90% of whom are housing and construction departments, real estate developers, engineering contractors, elevator agents and traders from South Asian countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. This Chinese delegation is uniformly organized by the China Elevator Association. The core planning includes: first, setting up an exclusive themed exhibition area for China's elevator industry, divided into six exhibition sections: passenger elevators, escalators, goods elevators, core components, old elevator transformation, and smart elevators, comprehensively displaying the whole industrial chain supply capacity of China's elevator industry, and focusing on adapting to the elevator procurement demand of urbanization infrastructure, affordable housing construction and rail transit in the South Asian market; second, holding the China-South Asia Elevator Industry Cooperation and Development Forum during the same period, inviting the Ministry of Housing and Construction of India, the India Elevator Association, industry institutions and large infrastructure enterprises from South Asian countries to participate, interpreting the access policy, standard requirements, certification system and market opportunities of the South Asian elevator market, and promoting the mutual recognition and cooperation between Chinese elevator standards and national standards in South Asia; third, organizing accurate one-to-one trade matching meetings to provide exclusive matching services for Chinese exhibitors and purchasers, agents and engineering contractors from South Asian countries, focusing on the elevator procurement demand of urban renewal, new city construction and subway infrastructure projects in India and Bangladesh; fourth, setting up a special area for the release of Chinese elevator standards and technical achievements, focusing on releasing the latest national standards, international standards and technological innovation achievements of China's elevator industry, focusing on promoting cost-effective and high-reliability elevator products adapted to the high temperature and high humidity environment in South Asia, and enhancing the brand influence of China's elevator industry in the South Asian market; fifth, supporting the South Asian elevator market inspection activities. After the exhibition, Chinese enterprises will be organized to carry out market inspection and industry docking in New Delhi, Mumbai, India and Dhaka, Bangladesh, to deepen the whole industrial chain cooperation between China and South Asia in the elevator industry. India is the second largest emerging elevator market in the world. In 2024, China's export volume of elevators and components to India increased by 18.7% year-on-year. This participation will further expand the share of Chinese elevator products in the South Asian market and promote the in-depth integration of China's elevator industry with the South Asian infrastructure market.
