The Standing Committee of Nanchang Municipal People's Congress adopted the Elevator Safety Management Regulations, which were approved by the Standing Committee of Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress and implemented from March 26th, 2025. The regulations clarify the regulatory requirements for elevator selection and configuration, manufacturing, installation, renovation, repair, usage management, maintenance, inspection, supervision and emergency disposal within the municipal administrative region; define the scope of elevators, require township governments and sub-district offices to assist in safety management and coordinate fund raising; the market supervision department is responsible for unified supervision and management, and multiple departments collaborate to perform their duties to build a full-chain elevator safety supervision system.
