This standard is under the jurisdiction of the China Elevator Association, and is jointly compiled by the Chinese Academy of Building Research and domestic escalator manufacturers. It is applicable to the green product evaluation of commercial and heavy-duty transit escalators and moving walks, covering the whole life cycle of product design, raw material procurement, manufacturing, use, scrapping and recycling. The core contents of the standard include: first, establishing the overall framework for green product evaluation, constructing an evaluation index system with four dimensions: resource attribute, energy attribute, environmental attribute and product attribute in accordance with the principle of "whole life cycle and multi-dimensional comprehensive evaluation", setting up two categories of evaluation content: basic requirements and evaluation indicators, and only products that meet all basic requirements can participate in green product evaluation; second, refining the resource attribute evaluation indicators, formulating special evaluation requirements for raw material selection, resource consumption and recyclable design, clarifying the quantitative indicators of product recyclability rate, renewable material usage rate and harmful substance limit, and prohibiting the use of raw materials and processes explicitly eliminated by the state; third, improving the energy attribute evaluation indicators, formulating the energy efficiency grade evaluation standards for escalators and moving walks, clarifying the energy efficiency limit value and energy saving evaluation value of different types of products, adding quantitative assessment indicators for standby energy consumption and no-load energy consumption, and encouraging the adoption of energy-saving technologies such as variable frequency energy saving and intelligent start-stop; fourth, standardizing the environmental attribute evaluation indicators, formulating quantitative evaluation standards for pollutant emission, noise control and greenhouse gas emission in the manufacturing process, clarifying the emission limits of wastewater, waste gas and solid waste in the production process, requiring manufacturers to establish an environmental management system and pass ISO 14001 certification; fifth, strengthening the product attribute evaluation indicators, formulating special evaluation requirements for the safety performance, service life, reliability and low-noise performance of products, clarifying that the design service life of products shall not be less than 20 years, and formulating the limit standards for operating noise and vibration; sixth, clarifying the evaluation method and grade division, adopting the scoring method to conduct comprehensive evaluation of products, dividing green products into three grades: one star, two stars and three stars according to the comprehensive score, with three stars being the highest grade; seventh, standardizing the evaluation process and inspection rules, clarifying the application, inspection, review and publicity process of green product evaluation, formulating the inspection methods and judgment criteria of evaluation indicators, and establishing a dynamic supervision and re-evaluation mechanism. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively standardized the green manufacturing and evaluation system of escalators and moving walks in China, promoted the high-quality green and low-carbon development of the elevator industry, and also promoted the integration of China's escalator green product standards with international standards, providing standardized technical support for the global export of China's energy-saving and low-carbon escalator products.
