This standard is jointly formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization and the National Technical Committee for Fire Protection Standardization of China. It is applicable to fire lifts installed in buildings for firefighters to use under fire conditions, covering the whole life cycle safety management of design, manufacturing, installation, inspection, acceptance, operation and maintenance of fire lifts. Compared with the old version, the core upgrades of this revision include: first, reconstructing the fire resistance protection system of fire lifts, clarifying the mandatory requirements for the fire resistance limit of elevator shafts, machine rooms, cars and landing doors. The fire resistance limit of fire lift cars and landing doors shall not be less than 2 hours, and the fire resistance limit of shaft enclosure structures shall not be less than 3 hours. Special technical requirements for smoke prevention, smoke exhaust and waterproof of elevator shafts are added; second, upgrading the safe operation control requirements under fire conditions, mandating that fire lifts must be equipped with a double-circuit independent power supply system and an emergency power switching device, clarifying the switching logic of fire operation mode after the trigger of fire signals, to ensure that the elevator can stably run to any floor of the building under fire conditions; third, refining the special functional specifications for fire rescue, clarifying the setting, function and protection grade requirements of the firefighter operation panel, adding mandatory standards for fire rescue communication, video monitoring and emergency lighting in the elevator car, adapting to the actual needs of fire rescue; fourth, improving the high temperature resistance and anti-interference performance requirements of core components, formulating the operating performance indicators and anti-electromagnetic interference requirements of elevator drive main engines, control systems, door systems and electrical devices in high temperature environments, to ensure the stable operation of core components under fire conditions; fifth, adding the installation acceptance and regular inspection specifications for fire lifts, clarifying the on-site inspection methods and judgment standards for the fire resistance performance, fire function and emergency power supply system of fire lifts, and including the fire function inspection of fire lifts into the mandatory items of regular elevator inspection; sixth, refining the daily operation and maintenance management requirements, clarifying that fire lifts must carry out at least 1 fire function test every month and 1 comprehensive performance inspection every year, to ensure that fire lifts are always in an emergency available state. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively improved the safety performance and fire rescue adaptability of fire lifts in China, guaranteed the safety of rescue channels under building fire conditions from the source, and also provided standardized technical support for the global export of Chinese fire lift products, adapting to the global building fire protection specifications and rescue needs.
