This standard is jointly formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization and the National Technical Committee for Mine Safety Standardization of China. It is applicable to mine-specific elevators installed in underground and surface industrial sites of coal mines and metal and non-metal mines, with rated load no more than 5000kg and rated speed no more than 4m/s, covering the whole life cycle safety management of mine lifts. The core contents of the standard include: first, clarifying the adaptation requirements for extreme working conditions in mines, formulating special protection requirements for the special environment of high dust, high humidity, flammability and explosiveness, impact vibration and water spray corrosion in underground mines, among which the explosion-proof grade of elevators for coal mines must reach Ex d I Mb grade, and the explosion-proof grade of elevators for metal and non-metal mines shall not be lower than Ex d IIB T4 Gb grade; second, reconstructing the safety protection system of mine lifts, mandating that mine lifts must be equipped with dual independent braking systems, anti-fall safety gear, speed limiter linkage device and unintended car movement protection device, and clarifying the special requirements for emergency leveling, emergency stop and power-off emergency rescue in extreme scenarios such as underground power failure, gas over-limit and water inrush; third, refining the explosion-proof specifications for electrical and control systems, clarifying the explosion-proof, flameproof and intrinsic safety design requirements for electrical equipment, control lines and communication systems of mine lifts, formulating mandatory standards for gas concentration monitoring and elevator operation linkage control, and the elevator must stop running immediately and return to the safe floor when the gas concentration exceeds the standard; fourth, improving the installation and acceptance specifications, clarifying the construction safety specifications, shaft protection, track installation, grounding and lightning protection special technical standards for underground mine elevator installation, and formulating the whole-process inspection items and judgment standards for factory explosion-proof inspection, on-site installation acceptance and mine product safety mark certification of mine lifts; fifth, refining the operation and maintenance and inspection specifications, formulating the cycle and project requirements for regular inspection and maintenance of mine lifts in view of the poor accessibility of underground mine operation environment, and clarifying the regular verification standards and scrapping requirements for explosion-proof components and safety devices. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively standardized the production and installation market of mine lifts in China, promoted the full integration of industrial and mining special elevator technology with the international market, and also provided standardized technical support for the global mine market export of Chinese mine lifts and explosion-proof elevator products, adapting to the supporting elevator procurement demand of global mining development.
