New Chile INN Elevator Certification Regulations Implemented in July 2026, Environmental Protection Requirements Fully Upgraded
Core changes of the new regulation: First, comprehensively upgraded environmental protection requirements, adding environmental protection requirements for elevator products, restricting the content of harmful substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers. The lubricating oils and refrigerants used in elevators must comply with Chilean environmental standards; Second, tightened electrical safety requirements, upgraded the safety requirements of elevator electrical systems, requiring elevator electrical equipment to have waterproof, dustproof, and anti-corrosion properties; Third, upgraded fire performance requirements, clarifying that materials used in elevator cars, landing doors, and shaft enclosure structures must comply with Chilean fire protection standards; Fourth, tightened energy efficiency requirements, upgraded elevator energy efficiency requirements. Passenger elevators entering the Chilean market must reach energy efficiency grade 3 and above; Fifth, upgraded market supervision, Chilean customs list elevators as key inspection commodities. INN certification certificate must be submitted when each batch of goods is cleared. Goods without certificate will be directly returned.
