Core changes of the new regulation: First, full coverage of certification scope, the complete elevator and core safety components such as safety gear, speed limiter, buffer, door lock device, traction machine, and control cabinet must obtain INDECOPI mandatory certification separately; Second, mandatory requirements for local testing, all type tests must be completed in Peruvian local laboratories accredited by INDECOPI, and test reports issued by any overseas laboratories are not accepted; Third, mandatory factory audit, enterprises applying for certification for the first time must pass the INDECOPI initial factory audit, and annual supervision audit must be conducted every year during the validity period of the certificate; Fourth, local representative requirement, export enterprises must designate a locally registered authorized representative in Peru, responsible for product registration, certification application, and market supervision docking; Fifth, upgraded market supervision, Peruvian customs list elevators as key inspection commodities. INDECOPI certification certificate must be submitted when each batch of goods is cleared. Goods without certificate will be directly returned.
