The UK originally planned to end the transition period for CE marking in the UK market on December 31, 2024, requiring all products to use the UKCA marking. However, considering the actual difficulties of enterprises and the need for trade facilitation, the UK government decided to indefinitely extend the recognition of CE marking. For the elevator industry, the main impacts include:

1) Elevators and elevator safety components can continue to use the CE marking to enter the UK market;

2) Products that have already obtained CE certification do not need to apply for UKCA certification again;

3) Manufacturers can choose to use either the CE marking or the UKCA marking;

4) UK market regulators will recognize both CE and UKCA markings.

The implementation of this policy will promote elevator trade between the UK and the EU.
