China's First Elevator Safety Technical Regulation Released for Public Comments, Full Life Cycle Safety Upgrade
Core highlights of the regulation:
First, full life cycle control, unified technical requirements for the entire chain from design risk assessment, manufacturing quality control, installation acceptance, maintenance compliance, use management to scrapping registration;
Second, strengthen intrinsic safety, improve service life and reliability of core components such as traction machines, door systems, safety components, curbing under-specification caused by low-price competition;
Third, intelligent safety upgrade, mandatory AI fault early warning, IoT monitoring, automatic emergency disposal, realizing active safety protection;
Fourth, old elevator specifications, clarifying technical requirements for elevators over 15 years assessment, transformation, renewal, promoting stock safety upgrade;
Fifth, international integration, drawing on EU EN 81, US ASME A17 standards, formulating stricter requirements based on China's national conditions;
Sixth, people-oriented orientation, implementing "good houses with good elevators", extending national subsidy elevator quality requirements to all new elevators.
This regulation will become the basic, comprehensive, mandatory core specification in China's elevator safety field, comprehensively improving industry safety level.
