This standard specifies in detail the accuracy requirements for measuring equipment, test conditions, test procedures and data processing methods, and applies to the energy efficiency assessment of all newly installed and existing lifts, escalators and moving walks. The standard requires measurements to be performed under normal elevator operating conditions, including no-load, half-load and full-load conditions, and to calculate annual energy consumption.
