The main contents of ISO/TS 8100-22:2024 include:

1.Clarifies the basic requirements and responsibilities of elevator certification applicants

2.Specifies the definition, requirements and conditions of use for model lifts

3.Formulates the scope and requirements for lift component certification

4.Clarifies the procedures and methods for lift function certification

5.Specifies the technical document requirements to be submitted for certification applications

6.Establishes management procedures for certification changes and extensions

This standard works in conjunction with ISO/TS 8100-23:2024 "Requirements for bodies certifying lifts, model lifts, lift components and lift functions" to form the basis of the elevator certification system. The publication of the standard will help improve the consistency and reliability of global elevator certification work and promote international trade in elevator products.

Meanwhile, ISO is developing the ISO/AWI 25745-2 standard, which will replace ISO 25745-2:2015 and update the elevator energy consumption calculation method and energy efficiency classification system. It is expected to be officially published in 2027.
