2025 Global Top 10 Countries by Elevator Imports Released
In December 2025, the United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database (UN Comtrade) officially released the 2025 Annual Report on Global Import and Export Trade of Mechanical and Electrical Products, announcing the 2025 global top 10 countries by imports of elevator and escalator products. According to the report, the total import value of global elevator and escalator products reached 29.5 billion US dollars in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%, maintaining a steady growth trend. The TOP 10 ranking released this time is as follows: 1. United States, with an import value of 4.28 billion US dollars, accounting for 14.5% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%, firmly ranking first in the world; 2. India, with an import value of 2.85 billion US dollars, accounting for 9.7% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 11.8%, ranking first among the top ten countries in the world in terms of growth rate; 3. Vietnam, with an import value of 2.12 billion US dollars, accounting for 7.2% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%, ranking second in the world in terms of growth rate; 4. Germany, with an import value of 1.87 billion US dollars, accounting for 6.3% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 2.8%; 5. France, with an import value of 1.52 billion US dollars, accounting for 5.2% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%; 6. Indonesia, with an import value of 1.38 billion US dollars, accounting for 4.7% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%, ranking third in the world in terms of growth rate; 7. United Kingdom, with an import value of 1.25 billion US dollars, accounting for 4.2% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%; 8. Australia, with an import value of 1.08 billion US dollars, accounting for 3.7% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%; 9. United Arab Emirates, with an import value of 950 million US dollars, accounting for 3.2% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%; 10. Brazil, with an import value of 870 million US dollars, accounting for 2.9% of the global total, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%. The report also pointed out that emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Africa are the core growth poles of global elevator import demand, with import growth rates significantly higher than those of mature markets in Europe and the United States. The accelerated urbanization process and the continuous advancement of infrastructure construction are the core driving forces for the growth of import demand in emerging markets.
