How do I select anti-vibration pads for an elevator traction machine?

Provide the supported mass, load at each support, mounting area and vibration conditions. Pad stiffness and deflection must suit the machine and supporting structure. Selecting only by pad thickness or rubber hardness can give poor isolation or excessive movement.
