The Africa International Elevator Exhibition is the largest and only professional exhibition in the elevator industry in Africa, held annually. It serves as a core channel for elevator procurement, technical exchanges, and agency cooperation in South Africa and the entire African market. The 2026 exhibition, themed "Safety, Innovation, Empowering African Infrastructure", is expected to attract over 200 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions worldwide, with over 10,000 professional visitors, more than 90% of whom are from the housing and urban-rural development departments, real estate developers, engineering contractors, elevator agents, and traders of African countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, and Angola. The Chinese exhibition group is organized by the China Elevator Association, with core plans including: firstly, setting up a dedicated exhibition area for the Chinese elevator industry, divided into six display sections: passenger elevators, freight elevators, escalators, home elevators, core components, and renovation of old elevators, to comprehensively showcase the full industrial chain supply capabilities of the Chinese elevator industry, focusing on meeting the elevator product demand in the African infrastructure market; secondly, holding a China-Africa Elevator Industry Cooperation Development Forum concurrently, inviting housing and urban-rural development departments from African countries, African elevator industry associations, China-Africa Development Fund, and large infrastructure enterprises to participate, to interpret elevator access policies, standard requirements, infrastructure planning, and market opportunities in the African market, and promote mutual recognition and cooperation between Chinese elevator standards and African regional standards; thirdly, organizing precise one-on-one trade matchmaking sessions to provide exclusive matchmaking services for Chinese exhibiting enterprises and buyers, agents, and engineering contractors from various African countries, focusing on matching elevator procurement needs for urban renewal, affordable housing construction, and transportation infrastructure projects in African countries; fourthly, setting up a dedicated area for the release of Chinese elevator standards and technological achievements, to centrally release the latest national standards, international standards, and technological innovation achievements of the Chinese elevator industry, enhancing the brand influence of the Chinese elevator industry in the African market; fifthly, supporting the development of China-Africa elevator industry cooperation inspection activities, organizing Chinese enterprises to visit African countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya for market inspection and industrial docking after the exhibition, deepening the cooperation of the entire industrial chain of the China-Africa elevator industry. Africa is one of the fastest-growing emerging markets in the global elevator market. In 2024, China's elevator export value to the African market increased by 12.6% year-on-year.
