This standard is formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization of China. It is applicable to elevators installed in the tower of onshore and offshore wind turbines, with rated speed no more than 2.5m/s and rated load no more than 1000kg, covering the whole life cycle safety management of wind turbine lifts. The core contents of the standard include: first, clarifying the special working condition adaptation requirements of wind turbine lifts, and formulating special design and protection requirements for extreme working conditions such as narrow space, strong vibration, high and low temperature, high humidity, salt spray corrosion and lightning interference in the tower of wind turbines. Among them, the anti-corrosion grade of offshore wind turbine lifts shall not be lower than C5-M grade, and the temperature resistance range covers -40℃~+60℃; second, refining the core safety protection specifications, mandating that wind turbine lifts must be equipped with dual braking system, unintended car movement protection device, anti-fall safety gear and emergency rescue system, and clarifying the special technical indicators of guide rails, brackets and shaft protection for the vertical installation scenario in the tower; third, improving the safety requirements of electrical and control systems, formulating special standards for electromagnetic compatibility, lightning protection and grounding, and redundant power supply of the electrical system in view of the characteristics of strong electromagnetic interference and lightning impact in wind power scenarios, mandating the configuration of UPS uninterruptible emergency power supply to ensure the normal emergency rescue function of the elevator under extreme working conditions; fourth, standardizing the installation and acceptance requirements, clarifying the construction safety specifications, hoisting requirements, acceptance inspection items and judgment standards for elevator installation in wind turbine towers, adapting to the special environment of on-site construction of wind power projects; fifth, refining the operation and maintenance and emergency rescue specifications, formulating the cycle and project requirements for regular inspection and maintenance of wind turbine lifts in view of the characteristics of remote wind power projects and poor accessibility of offshore wind power, and clarifying the emergency rescue process and safety specifications for high-altitude and offshore scenarios. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively standardized the production and installation market of wind turbine lifts in China, promoted the full integration of wind power special elevator technology with the international market, and also provided standardized technical support for the global export of Chinese wind turbine lift products, adapting to the supporting elevator procurement demand of the rapid development of the global wind power industry.
