This standard is formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization of China. It is applicable to home lifts for single family use only with rated load no more than 400 kg, rated speed no more than 0.63 m/s and lifting height no more than 18 m, covering the whole-process safety management of design, manufacturing, installation, inspection and acceptance of home lifts. Compared with the old version, the core upgrades of this revision include: first, clarifying the applicable scope of home lifts, strictly limiting it to single family use scenarios, deleting the applicable clauses for non-private residential scenarios, and eliminating the risk of standard mixing; second, adding core safety protection requirements, mandating that home lifts must be equipped with unintended car movement protection device, speed limiter-safety gear linkage braking system, and two-way mechanical door lock, and clarifying the performance indicators and test standards of the braking system; third, refining the barrier-free adaptation specifications, clarifying the special technical requirements for wheelchair adaptation, car size for the elderly, operation buttons, and emergency call system, and encouraging the configuration of wide-body home lifts that can accommodate stretchers; fourth, adding technical indicators for noise control, shaft ventilation, lighting and emergency lighting, and improving the use experience and safety standards of home lifts; fifth, clarifying the specifications for installation acceptance and regular safety assessment of home lifts, and establishing a whole life cycle safety management system. The implementation of this standard comprehensively standardizes the production and installation order of China's home lift market, promotes the full integration of home lift technology with the international market, and also provides standardized technical support for the global export of Chinese home lift products, adapting to the home lift procurement demand of the global high-end residential market.
