GB/T 31821-2025 Technical Conditions for Scrapping of Main Elevator Components Implemented in March 2026
Core upgrade contents of the standard: First, expanded component scope, adding scrapping standards for new components such as intelligent door operators, IoT controllers, AI fault prediction systems, and covered rope suspension devices; Second, tightened scrapping conditions, raising the scrapping requirements for core safety components such as traction machines, safety gears, speed limiters, and buffers; Third, scientific judgment methods, adopting a comprehensive judgment method combining appearance inspection, performance testing and non-destructive testing to improve the accuracy of scrapping judgment; Fourth, clear service life, stipulating the design service life and maximum service life of main elevator components; Fifth, standardized scrapping processes, unifying the application, inspection, judgment and disposal processes for elevator component scrapping.
