GB/T 30692-2025 Code for Improving the Safety of In-service Escalators and Moving Walks Officially Implemented in August 2025
Core contents of the standard: First, full coverage of scope of application, applicable to all in-service passenger escalators and moving walks, including public transport type, commercial type, residential type and other types, and specially formulates special transformation requirements for old equipment with a service life of more than 10 years; Second, safety protection upgrade requirements, clarifying the installation requirements of safety devices such as step missing monitoring, handrail speed deviation monitoring, apron plate anti-pinch device, personnel fall prevention baffle, and non-operation reversal protection, and stipulating the mandatory transformation items for equipment of different risk levels; Third, performance index improvement, upgrading the operating performance indicators of escalators and moving walks, including operating speed deviation, vibration, noise, braking performance, etc., requiring that the operating performance of the transformed equipment is not lower than the requirements of current national standards; Fourth, transformation and acceptance specifications, unifying the design, construction, commissioning and acceptance processes of safety transformation, clarifying the qualification requirements and responsibility division of transformation units, and stipulating that the transformed equipment must be accepted by a qualified third-party inspection institution; Fifth, use and maintenance requirements, clarifying the use management and maintenance requirements of the transformed equipment, stipulating the items and cycles of regular inspection and maintenance, and ensuring the long-term safe and stable operation of the equipment.
