Elevator guide rails, brackets, cars, counterweights, and machine room equipment must have sufficient seismic strength, and the elevator safety devices must work normally after the earthquake. Products that fail the seismic test are prohibited from entering the market of seismic belt provinces in western Canada; Second, mandatory energy efficiency grading certification, elevator energy efficiency is divided into grades 1-5. Passenger elevators and escalators entering the Canadian market must reach energy efficiency grade 3 and above, must complete energy efficiency tests in CSA accredited laboratories, the test method adopts CAN/CSA B44.1 standard, and the energy efficiency grade must be marked on the elevator nameplate and product manual. Products that do not meet the standard are prohibited from import; Third, tightened electrical safety and EMC requirements, the elevator electrical system must comply with CAN/CSA C22.1 electrical safety standard, the EMC electromagnetic compatibility test items are tightened, the radiation interference limit is reduced by 35% compared with the old standard, and must be tested in CSA accredited laboratories, and test reports issued by overseas laboratories are not accepted; Fourth, mandatory factory audit, enterprises applying for certification for the first time must pass the CSA initial factory audit, which covers the whole process of design, procurement, production, quality inspection and warehousing. The certificate is valid for 3 years, and annual supervision audit must be conducted every year. Certificates that fail the audit will be revoked immediately; Fifth, upgraded market supervision, the Canada Border Services Agency lists elevators and safety components as key inspection commodities. CSA certification certificate must be submitted when each batch of goods is cleared. Goods without certificate will be directly returned. Enterprises selling uncertified products will be fined up to 40% of the goods value. Those with serious circumstances will be blacklisted and prohibited from entering the Canadian market within 5 years.
