South Korea's original regulations required all elevators sold or installed in South Korea to obtain South Korean elevator safety certification, including elevators imported for export purposes. This brought unnecessary burdens and time costs to South Korean elevator export enterprises. The newly revised enforcement decree stipulates:

1) Elevators imported for export purposes that are not sold or installed in South Korea can apply for exemption from South Korea's domestic safety certification;

2) Enterprises applying for exemption shall submit relevant supporting materials to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety;

3) Elevators that have obtained exemption can only be used for export and may not be sold or installed in South Korea;

4) Enterprises that violate the regulations will face fines and other legal sanctions.

The implementation of this policy will promote the development of South Korea's elevator export trade.
