National Standard GB/T 43125-2026 Technical Requirements for Low-Carbon Manufacturing of Elevators Officially Released
Jointly formulated by the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization and China Academy of Building Research, core contents include:
first, carbon footprint accounting system, establishing elevator life cycle carbon footprint calculation model, covering raw material mining (steel, aluminum, electronic components), production (welding, spraying, assembly), logistics (packaging, transportation) and recycling (scrapping, material regeneration), clarifying carbon inventory boundary, accounting method and report specification;
second, low-carbon production technology, mandating promotion of low-carbon processes such as photovoltaic workshops, energy-saving furnaces, water-based coatings, chromium-free passivation, waste heat recovery, requiring production energy consumption reduced by 25% and VOCs emissions reduced by 80% compared with 2020 baseline;
third, green supply chain management, requiring core component suppliers (traction machines, control cabinets, steel ropes) to establish low-carbon management system, providing carbon footprint certificates, green material certification, preferentially selecting recycled steel, environmental aluminum, degradable packaging materials;
fourth, recycling specification, clarifying recycling rate of permanent magnets, copper, aluminum, steel ropes not less than 95% after elevator scrapping, establishing whole-chain standards for reverse logistics, dismantling technology, recycling;
fifth, low-carbon evaluation certification, dividing elevator products into three low-carbon levels LC1-LC3, LC3 as highest level, certified products can be included in government procurement green list, export green customs clearance fast track.
After implementation, it will promote China's elevator industry to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 5 million tons annually, providing Chinese solutions for global elevator green manufacturing.
