Revised Elevator Fire Protection Special Clauses of GB 50016-2026 Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings Released
This revision adds special content of Chapter 6.8 Elevator Fire Safety, covering all building elevators. Core clauses include:
first, strengthening fire elevator standards, clarifying fire elevator load capacity ≥1000kg, car net area ≥1.5㎡, operation speed ≥2.5m/s, equipped with independent fire power supply, fire special communication, emergency lighting, waterproof sprinkler, smoke-proof sealing system, automatically descending to the first floor and continuously operating for 90 minutes in case of fire;
second, standardizing ordinary elevator fire protection, requiring ordinary elevator shaft wall fire resistance ≥2.0h, landing door fire resistance ≥1.0h, equipped with automatic fire descent, power-off protection, smoke-proof sealing devices, automatically stopping operation and closing landing doors in case of fire;
third, improving shaft fire protection design, elevator shaft must be independently enclosed, strictly prohibited from passing through combustible pipes, equipped with mechanical smoke control and exhaust system in shaft, smoke exhaust volume ≥30000m³/h, sealing between shaft and floors with fireproof plugging, fireproof sealant;
fourth, refining emergency evacuation requirements, high-rise buildings (≥100 meters) must be equipped with emergency evacuation elevators, equipped with emergency power supply, emergency leveling, manual control functions, available for personnel evacuation in case of fire;
fifth, strengthening intelligent fire linkage, elevator control system must be linked with building automatic fire alarm system, fire control room, realizing integration of fire warning, automatic descent, status feedback, remote monitoring.
After this standard revision, China's elevator fire safety standards fully align with international advanced levels, effectively preventing high-rise building elevator fire accidents, providing Chinese solutions for global high-rise building elevator fire protection design.
