Core upgrade contents of the standard: First, mandatory upgrade of residential elevator configuration, clarifying that residential buildings with 4 floors and above must be equipped with elevators. Residential buildings with 12 floors and above should be equipped with no less than 2 elevators per unit, among which 1 elevator that can accommodate stretchers should be installed. Residential buildings with 18 floors and above should be equipped with no less than 3 elevators per unit, among which at least 2 elevators that can accommodate stretchers. At the same time, the lower limit of the number of elevators configured for residences with different number of households is clarified; Second, detailed elevator configuration for public buildings, for different types of public buildings such as office, commercial, medical, educational, rail transit, etc., the quantitative indicators of elevator configuration quantity, service floors, rated load, and operating speed are clarified. For example, office buildings should be equipped with at least 1 elevator per 5000 ㎡ of building area, and hospital outpatient buildings should be equipped with at least 2 medical elevators per 3000 ㎡ of building area; Third, mandatory requirements for barrier-free and aging-friendly, clarifying that elevators configured in all civil buildings must comply with barrier-free design specifications. Residential elevators must be equipped with handrails, large-font buttons, and voice announcement devices. Elevators in medical and elderly care buildings must comply with the technical standards of medical elevators. Public buildings must be equipped with special barrier-free elevators; Fourth, fire elevator configuration specifications, clarifying that residential buildings with a building height greater than 33m, type I high-rise public buildings, and type II high-rise public buildings with a building height greater than 32m must be equipped with fire elevators. The load capacity of fire elevators should not be less than 800kg, and the driving speed should meet the operating time from the first floor to the top floor not exceeding 60s; Fifth, elevator shaft and machine room design requirements, clarifying the sound insulation, vibration reduction, fire protection, waterproof, and ventilation design requirements of elevator shafts and machine rooms. Elevator shafts adjacent to bedrooms and living rooms must adopt sound insulation and vibration reduction measures. Elevator machine rooms must be equipped with temperature control systems to ensure the normal operation of equipment.
