Core contents of the standard: First, energy efficiency classification, dividing elevator drive systems into five grades IE1-IE5, with IE5 as the highest energy efficiency grade, mandating new elevators to reach at least IE3 grade; Second, unified test method, clarifying the energy efficiency test process, equipment requirements, and data calculation methods under no-load, full-load, and half-load conditions, eliminating test differences among countries; Third, energy efficiency limits, stipulating the minimum energy efficiency limits for drive systems in different power and speed ranges, eliminating inefficient asynchronous motor drive systems; Fourth, energy feedback requirements, clarifying the energy efficiency conversion method of energy feedback systems, encouraging the application of high-efficiency feedback technology; Fifth, labeling specification, requiring drive systems to be marked with energy efficiency grade, test data, and implementation standards, facilitating global market circulation. China has launched the national standard conversion work to ensure full alignment with international standards.
