This standard is the core general specification for global elevator manufacturing, installation and safety inspection. Compared with the old version, the 2026 version has completed more than 120 clause revisions. The core additions include safety design requirements for non-wire rope suspension devices, performance test standards for electronic speed limiters, and cybersecurity protection specifications for smart elevators, while improving the technical guidelines for elevator emergency operation in fire scenarios. After the release of the standard, an 18-month transition period is set, and it will become the core compliance basis for international trade of elevator products worldwide from September 2027.
