This new regulation is a major revision of the elevator technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union of Russia. The core adjustments include: updating the test standards for elevator EAC certification, adding 21 mandatory safety testing items, and strengthening the performance test requirements of elevator equipment under low temperature environment; canceling the original batch product certification mode, and implementing the dual certification mode of single batch product certification + factory audit; strengthening the entry inspection of imported elevator products, all imported elevators must provide complete EAC certification documents and batch test reports, otherwise entry is prohibited. The new regulation sets a 6-month transition period and will officially take effect on April 1, 2025. All elevator products entering the Russian and Eurasian Economic Union markets must meet the new certification requirements.
