This standard is jointly formulated under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Elevator Standardization and the National Technical Committee for Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment Standardization of China. It is applicable to traction and positive drive lifts and hydraulic lifts used in explosive atmospheres, covering the whole life cycle safety management of explosion-proof lifts in all scenarios of Class Ⅰ underground coal mines, Class Ⅱ explosive gas environments and Class Ⅲ explosive dust environments. Compared with the old version, the core upgrades of this revision include: first, reconstructing the graded protection system for explosion-proof lifts, dividing explosion-proof lifts into three categories: mine explosion-proof, gas explosion-proof and dust explosion-proof according to the hazard level of the explosive environment and the type of explosion medium, refining the explosion-proof type, equipment configuration and safety protection requirements corresponding to different hazard levels, and filling the standard gap of explosion-proof lifts for dust environments; second, upgrading the explosion-proof design specifications of core components, formulating special explosion-proof design requirements for elevator traction machines, control cabinets, door machine systems, safety components and lighting systems, clarifying the applicable scenarios and technical indicators of different explosion-proof types such as flameproof type, increased safety type, intrinsic safety type and encapsulation type, mandating that explosion-proof components must obtain the qualification certificate of national explosion-proof electrical product quality inspection; third, improving the electrical safety and explosion-proof interlock control requirements, clarifying the special requirements for power supply system, grounding protection, short circuit protection and overload protection of explosion-proof lifts, mandating that explosion-proof lifts must be equipped with triple safety interlock functions of door interlock, safety circuit interlock and explosion-proof state interlock. When the explosion-proof performance is damaged, the elevator must stop running immediately and trigger an alarm; fourth, standardizing the explosion-proof requirements for installation and construction site, formulating special construction specifications for explosion-proof surface protection, cable laying, sealing isolation and grounding connection during the installation of explosion-proof lifts, and clarifying the safety management requirements for hot work and live work of elevator installation in explosive hazardous environments; fifth, improving the inspection and acceptance standards, formulating the special items and qualification judgment criteria for type test, factory inspection, installation acceptance and regular inspection of explosion-proof lifts, and incorporating explosion-proof performance inspection into the mandatory items of elevator supervision inspection and regular inspection; sixth, refining the operation and maintenance and regular inspection specifications, formulating the cycle and project requirements for daily inspection, regular maintenance and regular inspection of explosion-proof performance for explosion-proof lifts in high-risk use scenarios, clarifying the replacement cycle and scrapping judgment standards of explosion-proof components, and strictly prohibiting the continued operation of elevators with invalid explosion-proof performance. The implementation of this standard has comprehensively standardized the design, production, installation and application market of explosion-proof lifts in China, built a solid safety line for elevators in high-risk explosive environments from the source, and also promoted the full integration of China's explosion-proof lift products with the international market, providing Chinese standards and Chinese solutions for the procurement of explosion-proof lifts in the global petroleum, chemical, mining and other fields.
