GB/T 24477-2025 Additional Requirements for Lifts Accessible to Persons with Disabilities Implemented in October 2026
Core upgrade contents of the standard: First, detailed barrier-free functional requirements, clarifying the design requirements of barrier-free elevators such as car size, door width, control panel, handrail, voice announcement, and braille sign; Second, new aging-friendly functional requirements, adding aging-friendly functional requirements such as large-font buttons, high-contrast display, slow door opening and closing, extended door opening time, and voice guidance; Third, meeting the needs of hearing-impaired persons, adding functional requirements such as visual alarm devices and text display devices to meet the needs of hearing-impaired persons; Fourth, meeting the needs of visually impaired persons, strengthening the functional requirements such as braille signs, voice guidance, and tactile guidance to meet the needs of visually impaired persons; Fifth, acceptance and maintenance requirements, stipulating the acceptance items and acceptance standards for barrier-free elevators, and clarifying the requirements for daily maintenance.
