GB/T 30559.3-2025 Energy Performance of Lifts, Escalators and Moving Walks Part 3: Energy Efficiency Classification of Escalators and Moving Walks Implemented in October 2026
Core contents of the standard: First, full coverage of scope of application, applicable to all in-service and newly built escalators and moving walks; Second, scientific energy efficiency classification method, adopting the comprehensive energy efficiency index (EEI) as the basis for energy efficiency classification of escalators and moving walks; Third, strict energy consumption limits, dividing the energy efficiency of escalators and moving walks into seven grades: A, B, C, D, E, F, G. From January 1, 2027, escalators and moving walks with energy efficiency grade lower than grade C shall not be sold from the factory; Fourth, standardized energy efficiency labels, unifying the style, content and labeling requirements of energy efficiency labels for escalators and moving walks; Fifth, green building connection, clarifying that the energy efficiency of escalators and moving walks is incorporated into the green building evaluation system, requiring green buildings to be equipped with escalators and moving walks with energy efficiency grade not lower than grade B.
