Core contents of the standard: First, full coverage of scope of application, applicable to the barrier-free design of lifts, escalators and moving walks in newly built, reconstructed and expanded civil buildings and public buildings, and specially formulates higher barrier-free requirements for densely populated places such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, shopping malls and stations; Second, elevator barrier-free design requirements, clarifying the design requirements of barrier-free elevators such as car size, door width, control panel, handrail, voice announcement, braille sign, emergency call, etc., stipulating that the clear width of barrier-free elevator cars is not less than 1.6m, the clear depth is not less than 1.4m, and the clear door width is not less than 0.9m; Third, barrier-free design requirements for escalators and moving walks, clarifying the design requirements of barrier-free escalators and moving walks such as step width, handrail height, running speed, emergency stop button, voice prompt, etc., stipulating that the running speed of barrier-free escalators is not greater than 0.5m/s; Fourth, aging-friendly functional requirements, adding design requirements for aging-friendly elevators, including large-font buttons, high-contrast display, slow door opening and closing, extended door opening time, voice guidance and other functions, which are convenient for the elderly to use; Fifth, acceptance and maintenance requirements, stipulating the acceptance items and acceptance standards for barrier-free elevators, escalators and moving walks, clarifying the requirements for daily maintenance, and ensuring the long-term normal use of barrier-free facilities.
