GB/T 30559.2-2025 Energy Performance of Lifts, Escalators and Moving Walks Part 2: Energy Efficiency Classification of Lifts Implemented in October 2026
Core contents of the standard: First, full coverage of scope of application, applicable to passenger elevators, freight elevators, medical elevators and home elevators with rated speed not greater than 10m/s, and specially formulates differentiated energy efficiency classification standards for elevators with different loads, different speeds and different uses; Second, scientific energy efficiency classification method, adopting the comprehensive energy efficiency index (EEI) as the basis for elevator energy efficiency classification, comprehensively considering the operating energy consumption, standby energy consumption, braking energy consumption and auxiliary energy consumption of elevators, and fully reflecting the energy performance of elevators; Third, strict energy consumption limits, dividing elevator energy efficiency into seven grades: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, among which grade A is the highest energy efficiency grade and grade G is the lowest energy efficiency grade. The energy consumption limits of each grade are clarified. From January 1, 2027, elevators with energy efficiency grade lower than grade C shall not be sold from the factory; Fourth, standardized energy efficiency labels, unifying the style, content and labeling requirements of elevator energy efficiency labels, stipulating that elevators must be pasted with energy efficiency labels in obvious positions when leaving the factory. The label contents include energy efficiency grade, comprehensive energy efficiency index, standby power, annual power consumption and other information; Fifth, green building connection, clarifying that elevator energy efficiency is incorporated into the green building evaluation system, requiring green buildings to be equipped with elevators with energy efficiency grade not lower than grade B, encouraging the use of grade A energy efficiency elevators, and promoting the coordinated development of green buildings and green elevators.
