GB/T 7588.2-2025 Safety Rules for the Construction and Installation of Lifts Part 2: Design Principles, Calculations and Tests for Lift Components Implemented in October 2026
Core upgrade contents of the standard: First, comprehensive update of design principles, adopting a risk-based design method, clarifying the basic principles of safety factor, load calculation, strength calculation and stiffness calculation of elevator components, and improving the safety and reliability of components; Second, unified and standardized calculation methods, unifying the calculation methods and formulas of core components such as elevator traction systems, guide systems, braking systems, door systems and suspension systems, ensuring that the calculation results of different enterprises are consistent and comparable; Third, detailed and improved inspection methods, specifying in detail the methods, equipment requirements and judgment standards for type test, factory inspection and on-site inspection of elevator components, and adding advanced inspection methods such as non-destructive testing, performance testing and life testing; Fourth, technical specifications for new components, adding technical requirements and inspection methods for new components such as permanent magnet synchronous traction machines, covered rope suspension devices, intelligent door machine systems and IoT controllers, adapting to the development trend of elevator technology; Fifth, in line with international standards, equivalently adopting the relevant contents of ISO 8100-2:2025 international standard, realizing the full integration of China's elevator component safety standards with international standards, and promoting the international trade of China's elevator products.
