Products that do not meet the standard are prohibited from import; Second, mandatory requirements for fire performance, materials used in elevator cars, landing doors, and shaft enclosure structures must comply with Saudi SASO fire protection standards. Flame retardant performance, smoke density, and toxicity indicators must pass the test of SASO accredited laboratories. Fire elevators must comply with Saudi fire protection specifications, with a shaft fire resistance limit of no less than 3 hours and a landing door fire resistance limit of no less than 2 hours; Third, tightened electrical safety and EMC requirements, the elevator electrical system must comply with Saudi SASO electrical safety standards, the EMC electromagnetic compatibility test items are tightened, the radiation interference limit is reduced by 40% compared with the old standard, and must be tested in SASO accredited laboratories, and test reports issued by overseas laboratories are not accepted; Fourth, adjusted certification process, elevator products must first obtain the SASO type approval certificate, and must apply for the product conformity certificate (CoC) when each batch of goods is cleared. The original batch exemption mode is cancelled. The certificate is valid for 3 years, and annual supervision audit must be conducted every year; Fifth, upgraded market supervision, Saudi customs list elevators as key inspection commodities. SASO certification certificate and CoC certificate must be submitted when each batch of goods is cleared. Goods without certificate will be directly returned. Enterprises selling uncertified products will be fined up to 40% of the goods value. Those with serious circumstances will be blacklisted and prohibited from entering the Saudi market within 10 years.
