Core contents of the new regulation: First, mandatory requirements for seismic design, clarifying that building elevators in areas with seismic fortification intensity of 6 degrees and above must carry out special seismic design. The seismic fortification category of elevators is consistent with the seismic fortification category of the main building. Elevator guide rails, brackets, cars, counterweights, and machine room equipment must meet the seismic design requirements; Second, mandatory provisions for seismic devices, elevators must be equipped with guide rail seismic brackets, car anti-sway devices, counterweight anti-derailment devices, and electrical equipment seismic fixing devices. Elevators in areas with seismic fortification intensity of 8 degrees and above must be equipped with earthquake emergency protection devices, which can automatically level and open the door nearby after receiving earthquake early warning signals; Third, seismic calculation and test requirements, clarifying the load value, combination method and checking method of elevator seismic calculation. Key elevator components must pass seismic performance tests, and vibration and impact tests under simulated earthquake conditions to ensure that they do not fall off, deform or fall in earthquake scenarios; Fourth, installation and acceptance specifications, clarifying the installation, commissioning and acceptance standards of elevator seismic devices. When the elevator is completed and accepted, the seismic devices must be accepted simultaneously. Elevators that are not installed with seismic devices as required will not pass the completion acceptance and will not be registered for use; Fifth, maintenance and renewal requirements, clarifying the daily maintenance, regular inspection, renewal and transformation requirements of elevator seismic devices. A comprehensive inspection of elevator seismic devices must be carried out every 5 years. Those that fail the inspection must be rectified immediately. Old elevators with a service life of more than 15 years are encouraged to carry out seismic performance upgrading and transformation.
